Weather and mountain status
Trekking depends on the weather and on the status of Mount Batur. When conditions are not safe, a trek can be moved, shortened or cancelled by the guides. Clouds can also hide the sunrise, even after a clear night.
Ask the team about conditions for your date before you set your alarm.
How it usually works
A Mount Batur sunrise trek is an early, guided walk up the volcano to watch the sun come up over the caldera. Staying at the foot of the mountain keeps the journey to the start short. The details below are confirmed by the team for your date.
